Conclave 2017 Recap!

This last weekend Nebraska DeMolay held our annual Conclave where the members came from around the state for a weekend full of competition and fun! Find out all the important information here!

Ritual Competition

This years ritual competition was a huge success! With a total of 36 individual competitors participating in the event. As always the ritual competition is the one place to show off your skills at memorization and presentation skills in order to better yourself as a DeMolay.

Priory Information

The AKSARBEN Priory is a program for Nebraska DeMolay members who are over the age of 16. The main functions of the Priory is to extend and assist the Chapters of Nebraska DeMolay, and provide an interesting program for the Priory members. Contact Dalton Kock at Daltonkock@gmail.com for more information on how to join AKSARBEN Priory or to get involved.

AKSARBEN Priory met Friday night and had a short discussion regarding the upcoming year. The consensus is that we need to work on doing at least a quarterly event, to get together and gain interest with new members. The plan is to try and meet Mid-October, Mid-January, and Mid-May at the least. We’ll have some better dates posted and an idea of what each event will be at a later day.

On a more exciting note; a New Illustrious Knight Commander was appointed. Congratulations to Jack Bussen on your new position. We look forward to working with you on building a program for the upcoming year.

Chevalier Investiture

This weekend we had our annual Chevalier Investiture after our business meeting on Saturday. A Chevalier is the highest honor an active DeMolay can receive within his time as an active member. To receive a Chevalier you must be recommended and approved to DeMolay International. The following young men, shown in the picture above are our newest Chevaliers!

Will Castner – Fort Sidney Chapter
Thomas Kokjer – Fort Sidney Chapter
Jacob Leeper – Lewis M. Keene Chapter
Jorgen Johannsen – Lewis M. Keene Chapter
Stephen Freeman – Omaha Chapter
Chris Atteberry – Omaha Chapter

Nebraska DeMolay would like to congratulate these newly invested Chevaliers on this amazing honor!

State Officer Elections and Installation

As always Nebraska DeMolay elected their new state officers during Conclave. The new Nebraska State Line goes as follows: State Master Councilor, Kyle Barchus, State Senior Councilor, Jake Leeper, and State Junior Councilor, Johnathan Moats. We would like to congratulate these new officers on their elected positions and we know that they will do an amazing job over the course of the next year!

We thank all of Nebraska DeMolay for attending this event and we hope to see you at many other events throughout the year!
